Project 663 Begins

Syborg Twin Turbo

Syborg Twin Turbo
As most of you may know i wanted to build a driver / test mule for the other truck i am building. We wanted something so we could check ride height, body mods and other misc things.

It's actually fun having a truck that i can drive. It's the first of 12 syclone, typhoons & sonoma gt's that i have ever driven. Most of them were either garage queens or parts only trucks.

here is how it started when i found it on ebay.

Bone Stock under the hood and this is how it's staying. The only thing i plan to do under the hood is replace the valve seals.

I've started working on it. Here is what has been done so far

Tekstyle Canvas Bed Cover
SLP Wheels w/Daytona Tires
2" Bell Tech Drop Spindles
3" Bell Tech Drop Springs - 2" Drop Block

Bell Tech Nitro Drop Shock all they way around

Hotchkis Front & Rear Sway Bar

that's it - nothing else (maybe a cowl induction hood)

Since i took these pictures i've already lowered the back another 2" and plan to put the - 2" drop springs on the front over the weekend. Need to get the ride height at 6" like the syborg project.

I almost forgot the paintless dent guy is fixing the dents as I type.

Re: Project 663 Begins

here's last nights pics of the rear suspension coming down that needed 2". The rear cover is 8.75" from the ground (not bad)

Old - Brand new Shocks - No i didn't buy them and put them on, the previous owner did.

New Blockieeee going above the axle yet under the springs (just like how that sounds)

New Nitro Drop Shock - should help the ride just a little

 Is that 58K on the odometer? Don't like SyTY rims on the SoGT (figure you must have spares sitting all over the place)?

it was 88,963 when i bought it and i'm approaching 89,500

your going to laugh i actually don't have any stock syty rims laying around. I picked these up brand new from SLP with lugs, center caps & shipping for 600.00 dollars. My goal was to spend 1000.00 on tires and wheels and i missed by $60.00.
