I was searching for some info in one of George's Prime Gears Thread "Ask Your Questions Here" and the thread is gone now.

I can get to the "Prime Gears" Vendor area but that specific thread is gone and I need info from that thread.

I asked George what year my trans was and he and only he knew that and answed my question in that thread....NOW I CAN'T FIND IT!

Please someone help????? I have ordered a trans controller myself and they need to know what year the trans is for the right harness.

Dammit! I miss George already!!!!!!!!!

Incognito,
Thank you very much!

I found the info I was looking for!

You are a SEARCH GENIUS!

Here it is!

I had to page thru 14 pages Google had Cached.
You learn something new every day.
I would have never found that on my own!

Now the question is why isn't this post searchable from SYTY.net's Search Feature???? And how long will it be searchable with Google??? Will all the good stuff dissapear?

Did you remember to change the "Search for posts from?" to "From the beginning" in the parameters when using SyTy search? If the thread hasn't had a post for a long time, you need to extend the 'age'.

Dave,
No I did not. OK...Now I learned 2 new things today!

I will try that and see if I get results.

Guess I am a Search Dummy. I never had problems before finding anything 'till I really needed the info really quick...of course!

Thanks,

Re: Prime Gears Thread Gone...

Search has let me down.

I guess using an outside search "Google - Cached" is just the only way to that thread.

As far as I can find. Someone try it and call me a dummy. I can't find it with SYTY.net's search to save my life.

OH WELL, I give.:chair:

Thanks to everyone for helping.

For the record: If anyone read into that thread ~ I was going to buy the TCU and Harness from George because I knew he would have provide help if I needed it. Had to order it myself...sadly.

Re: Prime Gears Thread Gone...

syty.net search cant find it because it was removed from the site when the "Prime Gears" vendor forum closed.

SyTyless......for now!
Re: Prime Gears Thread Gone...

Might be a good idea to move that info into the Vault for future reference.

Good call on the Google cache thread. If you want anything from that thread I would save it. George actually delete the thread, so the Admins/Mods can't see the thread either on the hidden threads.

Re: Prime Gears Thread Gone...

did you already order the trans controller?

Yes, I had already placed the order. Black Ridge Customs immediately emailed me to ask the year of the transmission I have to match up a harness. The original plan was to get a TCI Controller from George and I have repeatedly emailed him but as we all know he stopped taking orders with the new year. So I went ahead and ordered a PCS TCU and harness. I remembered asking George the year of my trans in the "Missing Thread" and went searching for it. I wanted to respond quickly to the question from Black Ridge because I didn't want to delay the order I paid express shipping for. RPM didn't have the controller on his site so I ordered from www.black-ridge.com I am basically ready to put my trans in but I need to have the controller in place and wires run thru the trans tunnel when I put the trans up there. I think it would be difficult to figure out where I wanted to run the wires with the trans in the tunnel so I am doing it before the trans goes in while I have plenty of room. I will take the shifter console apart, run the shifter cable and the wiring harness and then put the trans in.

1994 and up are the same harness, if George did you tranny then I am sure its 1994 and up or atleast he upgrade the wiring.

black-ridge is where I got my controller and harness from , nice people and can't beat the price anywhere.

Re: Prime Gears Thread Gone...

Hey Denny,
I just read what you wrote and I actually found out about Black Ridge from a post by you...thanks.

Just a question of curiosity: Why are you running a PCS with BS3? I noticed in your signature you have a BS3. Why not use the built in tranny control in the BS3?

My BS3 does not have transmission control, i think its was $400 to the add trans control function.
My ty ran faster with a 50lb chip , which I still have. I was thinking if I can't tune the bs3 then maybe I will switch back to my 50lb setup.
