I would do satin black, but Id probably never powder coat it due to the inability to repair it of it got scratched or damaged or if I wanted to drill a hole or alter something in the future. Ill stick with epoxy paint.

^ I agree with Morgan. Unless its strictly a show car or something of that caliber, PC is not what I would recommend. We don't PC the frames. Several people I know that have done a PC frame on their show cars have said they would never do it again. HTH

Dark gray is a good offset to all black. Makes A-arms pop and wait on vehicle to pop too. I would do epoxy paint as before mentioned

A powder coated frame can be touched up just like a painted frame. I would do a satin black as well.

I powder coated my frame black and I like it. I have read however that POR15 and enamel products are way more durable. If I were to do it again, I'd enamel it, or whatever POR15 is.

Colour wise - you have very few options.

Of the top of my head

Red - mmm....no.
Yellow - bold. Very assertive.
Pink - unlikely to be what you want
Green - Ford colour no?
Purple - you have to get the shade right or it won't "pop"
Orange - GM orange? At a stretch, I can imagine someone doing this to match the engine.
Blue - might work...

What colour is the truck going to be?

White enamel might be cool or it might look like a bicycle. SIlver is tacky as you say.

Black? Pretty safe :D

My 64 ss has a gunmetal pearl frame for what its worth. Black its always safe especially if your gonna drive it any.

Built a few custom rides for customers that had to have pc frames, They all kick them self in the ass about it, Touch up looks like ass.on pc parts. you can spot in most paints nicer. Save the pc for bolt on parts.

Maybe if your talking about metallic blues, purples ect and just cant match the color... but black PC should touch up exactly like paint.
can also do a EPOXY powder coat :) but any standard powder should be plenty tough.

Matte or semi gloss black. SP10 sandblast, zinc epoxy powder primer and a good top coat.
