Some pics from today with the new parts on, Im very happy with how its coming along, Just waiting on a available space at work to start the the repairing and repainting of the cladding,body and wheels.

I used a satin black krylon, It not too shiny.I stripped the frame down to bare metal and clean it with some scotchbrite disks on a 1/4 angle grinder. Then prime it and painted it. The trick is to use several light coats and it will come out smooth. Its not fun when you only have the truck on jack stands, a lift would make it sooo much better. The rear end was out and was fairly easy to clean up.

Not today but last weekend...

I travelled 6hrs on the train to go a wedding near my folks and totally unexpectedly, my Dad decided to pick me up from the station in the Typhoon. I was pretty stoked.

After a few last minute repairs, I reassembled the front and took my truck out for its first official outing in a few years. We went to the beach!

I took this photo and then spent the next 3 hours looking up at the cliff wondering if my car would be there when I got back. I disabled the truck by removing an important fuse and also the hood latch broke so you couldn't even get in to the engine bay :D

I came back though and there she was... So I set up a couple of shots.

Caught some waves! Had some beer at the end of the day and enjoyed the sunshine. The truck ran great.

Went to my first Cruise-In for the year. Normally I go in the Magnum to this one, so it was a nice change. Pretty much everyone who came up to me said the same thing, that they have only seen maybe one or two Syclones ever. Anyway, it got lots of attention and we had fun. Here's some pics from lastnight.
