Re: Post a pic of your truck taken today
Well it looks dam good sittin there at least.
Curious what the lightning did to it.... sounds like a bad dream with the luck you've had.
friend the ECM, not sure what else, havent really touched it other than to try and fire it up on a spare ECM I got from Raist103.
Dam, let it sit there until I graduate college in the spring, then sell it to me:rotf::tup::rotf:
.....................Seriously
Only if you wanna buy it in parts, cause its not worth anything whole
Are you in PA, with that POS? Are you interested in selling? Does it not work at all, does it have any rust issues?
No, im in NJ. No im not interested in selling it. It works fine to some degree, Im sure I could drive it anywhere if I registered and insured it and I never shut it off cause it doesnt like to restart. As for rust, Im sure theres some somewhere but nothing major.
You know its kinda funny how everyone calls there trucks a piece of shit ,a pile etc etc and that these are money pits and you cant daily drive them etc etc,I and many people I know dont have half as many problems as most,I think it is just about not beating the crap out of them and maybe a little bit better service plans and a lot of these problems would go away.I mean maybe stop doing light to light boost launches, trying to run big boost on pump gas,no datamaster or wbo2 and the list goes on,
Id agree with you if any of that crap applied to me.
I daily drove mine for 2 years after I got it, put 25,000 on it the first year I had it alone. It was stolen in 2002 and even after "they" beat on it, i STILL drove it to Chicago for Nats that summer, then to Kansas City in 2003, and again in 2004 and 2005. Granted I took home the broken truck award 2 of those years, but I also got longest distance travelled those 2 years as well. Not to go unmentioned are the numerous trips to Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland and NY for SyTy meets, as well as 1 trip to Florida.
How many long distance trips have you done in your truck?
My truck has never left me stranded on any of my long distance trips. Sure I had to come home once in 2WD, but it still got me home.
My truck is a POS, just look at it... theres no denying it. Why is it a POS? Because I havent touched it in over 2 years. It has nothing to do with beating on it, boost launches, my datamaster or my tune/build, its simply due to neglect, plain and simple.
Do I like my truck? Yes, thats why I wont sell it, plus the fact that I know I wont get anything near what I know its worth, so Id rather just sit on it and Ill get back to it another day, month, year, whatever.
