Polished the inside of my engine block

Out of sheer boredom I polised the valley of my block took 6 hours but it looks good ill have pics in the chitown gallery shortly.

Now you need to do the same with the crank area (inside of the block) :D

actually the crank area is done also, doing the under the valve cover area of the heads now.

you can see in the pic how much the oil return in the lower left is enlarged also the walls and floor around it are bell mouthed to get the oil back to the pan faster, the oil pump is next after the heads then the oil adapter thingy that will be modified to flow 2-3 times faster.
 
Are you going to paint it or epoxy it to help improve oil drainback and prevent rust?

I'm impressed, and the sad thing is I'm bored enough to do that too.

I polised it so I would not have to paint and the oil will flow back faster then paint anyways. it as far as rust is concerened its covered in oil when its in the truck,

Stab it and steer it
Years ago the inside of blocks were painted (and to this day big truck). Not to look pretty or to improve oil flow but to "seal" the block from shedding any unwanted remnants from the casting process.
