please post RPM exhaust pics!

Can someone please post pictures of RPM exhaust cat back kit installed on a Sy? Specifically I need to see how the tailpipe section hangs from the truck. I'll be installing the kit w/ muffler in a few weeks and need to make sure I have all the parts. Right now the truck is missing the exhaust hanger bracket that bolts to the frame behind the rear axle. I have located brackets off other s-trucks (with factory exhaust that turns out behind rear tire) but this thread http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=60538 indicates a sy-specific bracket and hanger may be needed. I've got this picture but I can't tell too much:

Hopefully more pics will help out some. If this part is sy-specific, does anyone have one to sell??? Thanks for the help!

PS I'll introduce myself in a few weeks after I actually purchase the truck!

Not sure if rpm's kit is the same as a borla, but on the pipe its just a metal "L" that's about 4" long welded to them that slips into the rubber that's in that factory hanger..

If I were you I'd get some alum and bend it up like a U with wings(rivet it or bolt it to the frame/bed supports) and find/get a rubber insert that has a small slit in it for a hanger that you can attach to the bracket you made. ;)
Shouldn't take to much time or money.

Yeah, I'm hoping pics will clear up what comes welded on the exhaust or what I need to buy/fabricate. The bracket does seem simple enough, but I don't have a truck to check the fit. I want to use factory bolt holes to avoid drilling if possible. Hopefully someone can post a pic or a link to some already on the web.

you will need all the stock brackets as thats what the system is based on. they are simple angle pieces that can be fabbed but thats what you will need.

I have their kit w/ muffler on my Ty and lots of pics. Don't know if it's the same as the Sy.
Give me your email so I can send you some pics.

Many thanks pbrito28. email to simpleman01@hotmail.com

I appreciate the responses thus far. The sy I'm trying to purchase has no catback system and is missing the factory exhaust bracket behind the rear axle. I'm trying to gather all the pieces/parts so I can install the RPM kit quickly w/ minimal hassle to the current owner and start on a 3000 mile trip back across the country.

it's a syclone with full rpm kit front to back. just installed it last week. you will the brackets I spoke of but if memory serves me they are only 90deg angle bracket that can be fabbed very easily.

Re: please post RPM exhaust pics!

Here are the pics I received from pbrito28. These are for a Ty in case anyone needs this information.

Back to the sy exhaust- thanks jwaller! If anyone else has closeups especially of the bracket/hanger behind the rear axle, it would help. I'm trying to fab/buy stuff without ever having seen the truck or exhaust kit. Mission impossible?

^^^ The very first pic you posted shows a tiny bit of the Sy-specific bracket you need (top-right corner). Also shown are the necessary tailpipe insulator, retainer and bolts.

This pic makes it easier to understand. Assuming your truck has nothing, you need:

Muffler support (can be found on '91 4.3L trucks)
insulator (30)
hanger (31)
bolts (32)
retainer (33)

Tailpipe support (Sy-specific)
bracket (26) <---- I believe this part includes 30, 32 and 33. If not, you need them. 31 not needed (provided with RPM's kit).
bolts (27)

You'll need to ask a dealer or other members for part numbers. Mine are out-dated.
