I need to replace the insert support in my front bumper, it's held in place with small plastic rivits. Anyone have a part # or a place that has the bumper insert for less than 400 bucks.

I guess its the bumper bar, its a mold that's rivited to the front bumper. The insert holds the turn signals and the mounts for the bars that attach to the frame.

Around here, what you are describing is called the bumper support / re-enforcement.

We have many of them. But they are more than $400. What's wrong with yours?

I was backing out of a spot at my friends apt, i turned the wheel to soon and the corner of the bumper caught on a support beam and busted part of the insert. So i cant get it to align right on the side. I'll take a picture tonight when i get home.

^^^ Dave had is pretty much covered.

This is fairly common issue on the aluminum supports that ahve been bumped. The material is thin between the fog and bumper light and prone to cracking and breaking. So that will need to be welded and reshaped. The nice part about the Aluminum supports is that you can gently manipulate them when they are on the truck to get them to sit nicely and line up before everything is bolted and tightened down. I had cracks on mine at the side support bolts (far left & right) where the long bars go to the side of the frame. I cut 1/8th" steel plate and shaped to fit on the inside of the bumper. Then riveted it into place and drilled new square bolt holes. Made it much stronger.:2cents:
