Pitman Arm Denting RPM Crossover

I'm installing RPM coil-over suspension on my truck and noticed today that the #$^%*&! Moog pitman arm is contacting/denting the RPM header crossover tube. Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe I need to get a lower-profile pitman arm? This sucks, but hopefully that dent won't affect performance. The tubes are huge.

on my kb headers my crossover pipe rested on my idler arm and pitman arm, my frame and steering column. so i had to remake it. you might try to dimple it to clear?

Do you have a ZQ8 steering box?
Maybe because the turning radius is tighter with that box than a stock box.
Have the steering stops in the box changed or add some steering stops to your control arms.

I'll try and see how much clearance I have on mine. Probably not tonight, more likely tomorrow.

Yes, I have a ZQ8 box. If you could check the clearance on yours with the wheels cranked all the way, I would appreciate it. I'm just glad it didn't make a hole in the crossover.

OK, busy night tonight between you & DonW.
I have .28" of clearance between the Moog pitamn & the x-over when the steering wheel is cranked all the way to the right.
Variables: I have Rockford Racecraft frame pads w/ Moroso solid mounts.
Also, I don't have my trans in yet. This may alllow the front of the motor to tip up just a very small amount.

Did you install that steel spacer plate that came with the ES tranny mount?

I didn't realize you had RPM headers, but thanks for taking those measurements. Looks like yours is pretty close as well. I have the JS frame pads with Moroso solid mounts. Not sure about any spacer plate that came with the ES tranny mount, but all I have is a single piece. I doubt that's the issue, though, because my ATR headers never had this problem. The lower radiator hose is seriously wedged between the crossover and intercooler pipe as well, even after cutting the hose into two pieces and using the metal sleeve/spacer. I wrapped it with Thermotec when I installed it...hopefully it doesn't melt.
