Pitman and idler arms

The idler arm pretty much unbolts and goes back in, unless you have the ATR battery kit, then it has to come out. The pitman are is a pain. You need to take the steering gear box out to save hassle. The service manual says you just have to loosen it, but save yourself a headache. Drop the heat exchanger, take the clamp holding the brake line down off and bend the line up and out of the way carefully with out kinking it. The box will come right out. Make sure you use a puller to take the old pitman arm off, otherwise you will screw up the gear box. Then it goes right back in. Just did mine last weekend.
