i ordered some federal mogul piston rings a while back and when i opened the pack today there were no instruction saying what ring went where. All i need help with is what ring goes first and what ring goes second.....cause the third is ring is simple to figure out....heh.....all i have is a box with different color rings........thanx in advance for any help....

Ive ran into this one before..
FWIW:
1. check the lid of the box for instructions (been there done that one)
2. rings are normally stacked in the box the way they go on the pistons. If the box opens so youre looking at the side of the rings and they are stacked in devided compartments left to right then starting from the left that will be your top ring. next "set" will be your sec comp ring etc..
3. the paint is normally on the second comp ring from what Ive found
If all else fails call/email the manufacturer to find out what the deal is and chew em out for not putting destructions in the box :wink:
