Pictures of modified A-Arms/ Steering stops

Im running 9.5" rims up front and they are rubbing somewhere at full turn. Ive seen mention of modded steering stops and also trimming of the A-Arms but cant seem to find any good pics. Just looking for some ideas.

IIRC they rub on the back of the lower control arms. I don't have any pictures but fixing should be pretty straight forward either grind away the area they touch the control arm a little bit until they clear or weld more material to the steering stop (easy to identify when you get in there it's the piece that the nub on the spindle sticks out and hits on the front of the lower control arm).

If it was me I'd grind away so that I didn't lose any steering radius in the process, which you will if you add material to the stops.

What I did rather than modify the control arms was weld a small block to the steering stop to keep the rim from rubbing at full turn.

thanks guys. Looks like Zski added about 3/4 inch of material to the existing stop. I guess I can play around and see what the minimum amount of material is needed. Im still not opposed to removing material from the arm either. looks like it may be the top that needs material removed?

DesertSy hits on the tie rods. My DD hits on the upper control arms.

Seems to me that grinding suspension components is not going to be the desirable method. Adding additional stop material makes the most sense.

Gauging off the stock stop, it looks like Paul added 3/8 or 1/2" to his stop. Of course, add more than you need, then grind off the excess to retain maximum turning without rubbing.
