i am wanting to change over to a2a set-up , i was wondering what everyone running a a2a intercooler does with the hose from the pcv valve that used to mount to the crossover tube.

Re: pcv ?

I had breathers in both my valve covers, but I don't like wiping up the oil so I'll come up with some way to run them. If you do post it up incase I didn't think of it.

Re: pcv ?

what i thought about was i'll be running a k&n like everyone else, but the old flat moroso chrome air filters came with the adapter you could poke a hole in the bottom of the lower open filter element plate and bolt this little adapter looking thing on and then slip your pcv hose to that. i have to dig around the garage and see if i have one and if it will work. only problem i see is the outlet of the hose will be facing the incoming air, wonder if it would defet the purpose.

Re: pcv ?

I doubt it will hurt it, that's always under vacuum anyway so it shouldn't make much difference. Sounds like a good idea if you can make it work, if you do post up a picture of it.

Re: pcv ?

i seen a post awhile back that debated the whole pcv valve scenerio , i just am not a strong believer in running a engine without a pcv system , i've heard alot of people doing it but i would rather leave it intact. im thinking if my first idea doesnt work ill just put a small piece of three in piping between the turbo and the k&n filter and run it to there. i was just wondering if anyone had a simple spot to hook it to. im also planning on switching to hydoboost brakes, could it get hooked to where the booster used to go into the upper intake ?

Re: pcv ?

No it needs to go in at the beginning of the system. The idea is to vent the system i.e. (PCV) Positive Crankcase Ventilation. Just plumbing it back in the manifold would be a bad idea IMO because your not venting anything. Stick with your idea of plumbing it back to behind the filter that sounds like a good spot.

Re: pcv ?

My :2cents: ? Keep it if you can. It has no affect on performance IMHO. Long story but I had to put one on an engine swap I did years ago and it made NO difference in the way the thing ran.

Are they K&N's? That's what was in mine and they leaked alot of oil, way more then a drop.
