pcv system

I just bought Syclone #879 and need some help getting the pcv system back to spec. It seems someone modified the stock setup and I would like to get it back to stock. The drivers side valve cover used to have a hose that ran into the airbox but they put a breather on it instead. The problem I 'm having with this is that instead of sucking air in through the breather it's blowing out fumes which then find their way into the cab. The passenger side valve cover is missing the tee shape piece which used to hold the 2 pcv valves. Instead it only has 1 which is going into the intake. The line that used to go from the second pcv to the TB is not there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are you looking for parts or suggestions for modifications?

GM used to sell the stock pcv parts pretty cheap, but not sure with their new pricing.

It sounds like you have a little blowby going on, and may not be happy until that is resolved. If you return it to the stock configuration, you will be sucking oil into the intake. That's not good either, but would solve the problem of the odor in the cab.

If you're lucky, new pcv's and returning it to stock will get you by. Make sure to get the correct pcv's.

Actually I'm looking for the tee that comes out of the passengers side valve cover that holds both pcv valves. It has been discontinued from GM. Any ideas would help. I am also going to perform a compression leak down test Monday to see if I need pistons and rings. THanks

They can be made from parts available at most auto parts stores. I think you need a 3/4" tee, if I remember the size correctly. Use short sections of 3/4" hose and elbows if you need them. The pcv's fit in the hose pretty snug.

Thanks for the info. If anyone has one of these pcv hoses laying around, please let me know and I will buy it in a heartbeat.
