Re: overboosting
I just find this funny.
"I know this chip is junk plan on getting another but boost was fine until I changed the heads and cam. "
Read this, think about it.
Lets see you have the worse chip made, you just changed how the air goes in and out of the motor and you wonder why boost is no longer the same? Not trying to pick on ya, just trying to give you some common sense.
I personally HATE manual boost valves. Why risk a motor over a $15 part?
The stock logic can be good, if you understand how it works and your willing to do some custom tuning with the chip. (which I think everybody should do anyways). Now that you made such big changes your fuel will be wrong, spark, and as you have seen boost. The computer needs to know these things to make them work.
The computer is a simply if this, then do this machine. It can't do much if any thinking on its own. So when you make changes, but don't change the "do this" part odd things will happen, trucks will blow up, run slower and have bad boost control.
