opossum couldnt outrun the sy

Mephisto

These trucks are cursed
comin home from my friends house last night, when outta nowhere this effn opossum runs right in front of the sy... BAM! i didnt hit it with the tires but i think the CCHE knocked the hell out of it pretty good, i felt a few thumps under my feet followed by one more loud Bang! thinkin i effd up the front bumper even more than it already is... i pull off into a gas station. the front bumper and CCHE are fine, i walk around to the back of the truck and look underneath to find bloody meat and fur lodged between the rear sway bar and the rear axle... im not sure how the hell it got caught in the sway bar, theres barely a couple inches between that and the axle... anyway i grabbed the window squeegie (sp?) and poked the left over remains off my truck and drove home. i need to wash the underside of the truck now cause its starting to stink.

what the hell do you guys do that have the "blade of death" IC scoop on the front? id imagine that thing literally scooping shit up off the road especially if your syty is lowered....

I have the Blade of Death scoop on my sy. The night that I polished it and got it installed, I almost ran over a prekilled raccoon about the size of a basketball :-? ... My truck is lowered so anything bigger than a 2 liter bottle could cause some damage. Your chances of such occurrences are highest at night-I always drive with my driving lights on and my Hella for "off road use only" head lights. I always use my high beams whenever possible since I live out in the sticks. I worry about hitting bigger things, my father hit two deer in as many years a few years ago. My other truck was lower than my syclone. You have to be much more alert when you're just a few inches off the ground.

heh..

my scoop has the clearance of a coke can.......... laying on its SIDE.

only major animal encounter ive had so far was a turtle crossing the road (common in FL)

no time to swerve in traffic to miss him, so kept her straight and i heard this clang and nothing else.......dammit..... then suddenly i heard a thud again and something bouncing off the road and the bottom of my truck all way back...

musta scooped the poor little guy up for a sec, took him for a ride then he slid off....

then theres the brave squirrels who enjoy taking a run out in the road barely missing the the kumhos by inches....

he didnt stand a chance....

I'm still waiting for my first blade of death experience. I installed mine and no less than 40 miles later I'm heading to Kosovo on a 6 month tour...oh and have blown my engine.
