Opinions on Typhoon windshield banner

Well, my original factory windshield finally cracked (70K! ) and I am going to have it replaced it next week, question is, does anyone like the banners on their Tys, I dont see any in the gallery. Mine came with a white banner, but the previous owner thought it was too tacky and removed it :x . My Ty is white, I think a black banner would look "classy", not so "In your face". If anyones got one lying around, let me know, I'm interested.

I wanted one for about the first year I had my Ty but I guess I have kinda outgrown that look, at least for my truck. I do however like the red banner on the Syclones, not really sure why.

Yeah, I used to have one on my Sy, but I don't anymore. Pulled it off because it was interfering with my ability to see ahead. I have a brand new red "Syclone" banner rolled up in my closet that I may put back on after I replace the windshield. Windshield banners kind of went out of style about 10 years ago IMHO.

i have a chrome typhoon one, it doesnt look too bad, in the sun its bright but just sitting in a shade it doesnt jump out too much, i like it for the time being who knows once i get new paint if it still applies

IMHO, I think they are a little to "in your face". I think a plain tinted banner to match any window tint you may have would look ok. I just see to many of those banners on POS cars driven by punk high school kids to think very highly of them. I also think it says "hey look eveyone I'm driving a Typhoon!" and these trucks say that without any extra windsheild banners.
Just my $.02, if you do decide to go with one though, please show some pics.

I agree with Will, I think a simple tint strip looks the best. On a side note I saw a new montereo sport in Oregon that had the entire windshield tinted!

Yeah thats pretty popular around here, pretty gay too, theyre also primarily in old english text, really tough like :lol: ! I saw a old body style grand am yesterday that said "sport sedan" on the windshield. Wonder if they had a SB tucked in that baby :lol: !

Well maybe I wont do the banner thing. Maybe when Im at NHRA comp. at Firebird Int. next month, Ill pick up a teeny anti-mustang sticker for my back glass.

Regardless of what size sign or what you want it to say, just look in the phone book for a sign company. They can make almost anything you want with the computer programs they have now.
