We all know about the searchbutton. Everything about the sy/ty has already been explained, so why not stop posting. No human contact is needed. We can all just sit like peeping toms by our computers, Is that what you want?
No, I don´t think so. So guys, keep posting questions, even if someone
already have posted just that question before.....
O.K, I´m a newbie, but I still have the right to say what I think.....

När JAG föreslå folk använda söcken "search" huvudnummer av den här uppslags tävlan den er för en skäl. Den huvudsaklig skäl JAG föreslå folk använda söcken "search" funktion är så fakta ät de ta en initiativ till lära sig på deras äga i stället för varelse sked fodrat informationen tid och time åter. Olyckligt , en masse ämnena er frågat tid och time åter slöseri valueable servaren utrymme och kostnadsberäkningen keith mer pengar. JAG er inte den all kunnig syty Gud hur. än , Jag har blitt läsande sytynet likaledes så den syty adress kartoteket för många över fem åren nu och Jag ser den samma spörsmålen varelse frågat över och över igen ( som det svar Jag er gav du ). Om mest folk skulle utnyttja den syty adress kartoteket arkivet söka på http://www.syty.org/archives/syty/search.html eller använda söcken huvudnummer här på sytynet då mest folk skulle finna den svar till grund- spörsmålen så pass de har.

three different questions are asked.

new ideas and how u think they are.

old ideas, that arent talked much, and new details on them.

and just flat out questions that are beat like a dead horse.

everyweek, the same questions come up, from new people. it gets old.

and we have tried to get the answeres but couldn´t find them. And there are always new opinions. I tried to find out where to place the GM Truck sticker. I did not find the answere in the searcharchive, and I hesitated to
ask the forum. I didn´t wanna risk to get the ParTyBoy SEARCH THE F-N ARCHIVE answere.

sticker placement question doesn't come up often ;) but it's been posted.. Some questions like that don't come up very often... However, questions like "what is the part number for a ball joint?" or "can I run zr1 wheels on my SyTy?" get posted every month.... Personally I don't remeber the sticker placement for the cladding offhand but I'll take a look in my syclone suplememnt to see if it's there.... I can tell you for sure that Merk would know the answer to a question like sticker placement by heart ;)

BW's pretty much got it right on. I'm all for new ideas, and improvements to old ideas, but some of the questions get asked constantly.

Why should someone go through the trouble of typing up a reply, when you could search for the exact same thing you titled your post and find the answer and fix the problem before you'd even have gotten a reply?

For example, JoeBob makes a post titled "My tach is jumping all over!!!" which describes in detail how he's using brand new SplitFire plugs, Accel wires, Motorcraft cap and rotor, and an MSD ignition box. By the time he's finished typing and someone has replied with the right answer, he could've done a search for "tach jumping" (we all know it's "flutter", but as a newb he may not) and still find a detailed explanation of what's wrong, and how everyone who's tried those parts has the exact same results. And gone out and done a full ignition tuneup. Searching is faster for him, probably with more results, and less work for us (giving us more time to work on new and improved stuff).

If you search and can't find something, go ahead and post it. You at least tried to find it on your own, indicating that you don't expect everything to be hand-fed to you from a silver platter. Point out that you did search and couldn't find it. With the crashes in the past, we have lost some stuff, so sometimes old info that should be there isn't. It's when people ask the beat-to-death questions that old-timers get cranky. I've seen people ask questions that were answered in posts just a couple below it. If you can't take the time to look down 2", why should we expect you to even listen to our answers?

If the same questions are always asked, why doesn't some one ad the answers to the questions in the FAQ. IMO the FAQ is lacking some of the questions that are constantly asked. If we expand the FAQ, I believe less stupid questions will be answered.

Yep, I know what you mean, and I agree.But, Bill, thanx to YOU I solved my
wiperproblem. I think, and hope that we newbies listen to what you tell us.
And don´t forget, asking and hopefully getting some answeres, is a way of
getting friends worldwide.

exactly. and everyone makes the bonehead move and askes a dumb question once in a while. you'll take some shit for it and hopefully learn your lesson and move on. no need to take it personally.

and to be honest, partyboys responses are ALWAYS worth lookin at because they are ALWAYS funny and i for one dont wanna see him leave so nyaa!

Not necessarily bad for the FAQ to be updated... I've spoken with keith and a couple mods about it before.... However, there is not a chance you could list all the answers on the FAQ.... Even so... Unfortunately some of the new members don't even click on the FAQ, ReadMe, or links to begin with .. :-?
