Re: OKLAHOMA MEET

Yeah, well I took my truck to the shop yesterday, changing the oil, the brakes, basic stuff to make it to stilwater. I drove it and it actually started good, ran good, surprising since it has been sitting. Well later today, I took it out of the shop and it felt wierd. I took it back inside and I think it is my cv axils(I think thats it) were slingin grease everywhere, and I can't get new ones till saturday morning  I am still coming to your house Rob! Just not in my truck, but I am still comin'. I'm going to go to another auto place tommorow to try to get the parts, but it's not looking good, wish me luck!

Re: OKLAHOMA MEET

Thanks to Dave, Troy, Brandon, Justin, and Scott for making the drive to Stillwater.... we had four Sy's parked in the driveway today, did some wrench turning, did some tuning, and just had a great time.....  for making the trip guys - was the best day I've had since moving to Stillwater :D

Here are some pics....

The group lined up at the end of our street... Brandon, Rob, Troy, and Dave - Justin and Scott had already left to make the 3 1/2 hour trip back home...
(Brandon later got to experience a full-on boost launch in Troy's 11-second Sy - he liked it a lot :D )

Another view of the trucks... Dave's 17" ZR1, black chrome wheels looked great.. especially the 11's in the rear.

How many Sy's can you count?
4trucks.jpg

Troy's Sy in the garage getting stainless brake lines on the front... Rob's Sy out front, in need of power steering fluid...

Dave came with some parts to put on... an MSD Blaster coil, new distributor cap, and new rotor... Justin (Syclomatic) watching, Troy helping...
Dave even fixed a little boost problem he was having (top secret fix by the way ;) )
Davestuneup.jpg

Troy installing the SS brake lines.... easy job... both sides in about an hour...
Troysstainlesslines.jpg

Ah, the tuning.... three laptops fired up and comparing BIN's....Code58 on Dave and Troy's, Code59 on Rob's.....
Left to right.....Troy, Brandon, Dave, Scott, and Justin

How many times do you get to see TunerProRT on three laptops in the same house?? Pretty awesome experience getting to swap knowledge on tuning!

My wife made sure we were all fed and had plenty to drink... thanks Julie :D

This was really a great day and reminded me, once again, of the great community the SyTy group is. We all agreed we want to do this again, so if you didn't make it this year, plan on being here next year!

Buick and ford shootout, Thunder Valley raceway in Noble, Oklahoma. Saturday October, 27.

Thanks for the dates.... will try to be there!

went to put my inner fenderwell in this morning.... and the friggin' wastegate actuator has a major interference problem with the inner fenderwell... deciding whether to bend or to cut the fenderwell... leaning towards pounding it at this point.

Was great meeting you guys too! We will do it again and definitely before another year has elapsed :D
