oil filter housing an fittings

I was wondering what the sizes of the an fittings are for the oil filter housing. I am going to relocate it and want to run new lines.

I use #8 when converting to AN.

Thanks you. I searched but couldn't find anything. Would I use 1/2" threads that would go into the oil filter housing or use a metric thread.

tap them out to 3/8........then 8an

are you tapping the housing or getting conversion compression fittings ?

I tapped the housing, but i think i used 1/2 npt tap.

mine is tapped to 3/8 npt with -8an as well

Makes it a lot easier and cleaner looking too!
I also run their cm oil filter and the stock oil cooler.

If you want to run one of these you must buy the nipple that fits into the block that the adaptor threads on with. I have the part # laying around somewhere otherwise I know i have seen it on the board before.

I do have solid mounts and it is a close fit so you "may" have to modify a touch to clear the front diff.

Just to clear it up(becuase I am even a little confused). you tap the housing at the block with 3/8 or 1/2 npt then you get a npt(whichever size you taped it to) to -8an, male to male adapter. do the same at the remote filter housing and put you hose with -8 an on each end and you will be good to go

Tapped the oil filter housing and adapter to 3/8 ips. then used 8an fittings and hoses. I didnt connect it back to the radiator. I put in a b&m aux cooler in instead.


Sorry, truck is a little dirty, i just pulled motor out.

RHP fittings Harm? I've got the same exact ones. Been buying them over the past year plus getting ready for my build.
