Selling one of my Typhoons. Its 93 #0127. Before I start - PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRIES. Also, please no stupid comments about it being a Carbureted 350.....well, the first "bubba" comment may be funny, after that, just annoying. Sorry. I didnt do the swap.

I can email or text you more pics. Didnt have the chance to toss them all to photobucket.

I travel to Florida two weeks a month for business, and no time for playing with cars much at the moment. I have 9 other cars so this one is leaving.

Also, the price of $4,600 is FIRM! Otherwise, I am asking $5,200 and you can make a reasonable offer.

I had it on ebay for a while, tons of interest, mostly trades. Only one person actually came and drove it but had to sell a car to get the funds for it.

It presently has 81,000 miles (Carfax documented -- and I can send a copy if you would like), and is rust free. It rides and drives as it should, interior is nice, and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Biggest downfall. . .. . .it no longer has the original turbo 4.3 setup, as it has a carbureted 350 in it. Previous owner purchased from a dealer that did some top end engine work, but two days later, that engine threw a rod. Pick up a syty 4.3 and put it back to original (still has the original harness in it), or do an LS swap. I was NOT the one that did the swap. It is still AWD, as it maintains the original syty trans, transfer case, propshaft and front differential. The AWD system works as it should.

Body: paint appears to be original, slight minor rust that you can see behind the fender cladding, but appears to be where the cladding rubbed through. A few scratches to be expected over 20+ years, but nothing major. Cab mounts are in good shape. Right rear cladding is not presently on the truck, but is included and ready to go. No rust behind it. Missing the decals on the tailgate, but they are readily available, set of both doors and tailgate are not much more than $50.

Engine/Transmission: Engine is from an 89 Blazer, carbureted. Runs good. I do not know the mileage it had on it, but runs fine and does not smoke. Transmission is the original syty trans, and there is a toggle switch to activate the lockup torque converter. Not the ideal case, but it works. Radiator is newer.

Interior: Original leather seats are in nice shape, soft leather and no major damage. No rips or tears. Door panels are nice. Carpet is ok. Could probably use a steam clean to make them real nice, but not perfect. Has original "typhoon" logo on glove box, console lid is in nice shape (needs button), and shift indicator became unclipped and is beneath the console. I did not remove the console to reattach it.

In short, this truck will run and drive anywhere. It looks nice, runs and drives nice, just doesn't have the correct engine.

I do not NEED to sell this, but will probably be a few years until I get the time to put the correct engine in it, and don't want to see it just sit there.

In one paragraph it says rust free, then the next it says rust is bubbling behind the cladding?

It does not say rust is bubbling behind the cladding. The cladding rubbed through the paint. Please read it.
I will send the pics to jt3233 who pm'd me.

I probably shouldn't have even mentioned it and I would be like most sellers that give poor descriptions.

I shouldn't have used the term "bubbling", just rust.

OK, I've seen, and driven this truck and while its not technically "rust free" its certainly not a rusty pos..
The rust I saw is just as he says, the cladding rubbed through the paint to bare metal and the result is a light surface rust. NO holes or bubbles. Its worth his asking price. I want it myself and Matt is/ was willing to help me out but I've got a driveway full of "projects" as is.
I got 99 problems but another syty aint one...

Oh, and since no one has done it yet...:rotf:

Unfortunately, I have decided to part this truck. Its a shame since it was more solid than many of the trucks I have seen, but it is what it is. I had it on ebay 4 times, and quite frankly, got sick of the bs offers and time wasters. Had one guy that I spent 6 weeks taking pics, etc, but never came through.
A few months ago, I tallied up all of the parts that people had asked about, or I knew someone needed, and came up with about $3000 worth of stuff that was tentatively "pre sold" before I even pulled the trigger on parting it, and still left with a lot of stuff after that.
It wasnt until I had solid commitments on some of the bigger and more expensive parts that I actually had a solid lead on the truck to buy as a whole.

Since I've bought parts from you before... I'd like to possibly get some more... Just saying. Shame no one came through. Sorry brother.

It was "similar" to bubbas truck. Not done by bubba, but similar results.
