Can any one point me to a web page that explains how to repair odometers like the ones in our trucks? Mine sticks and I tried to dink with it but don't know what signal to put through the little motor. The tumblers look like they should work but it doesn't.
I found some places on the internet that advertise speed odometer and odometer repair but one wanted $230. and the other wanted $200. Even though the ad said that they would send me one and I would then send my old one back later. They said that it won't work with a Typhoon because of parts shortages. Also, they were talking the whole gauge cluster not just the odometer. I figure with those prices and service there is a shortage of requests too.
Sooooo, Any suggestions as to how I can get this fixed, swapped, replaced?
Would an odometer from another GM vehicle work? If so, what ones?
I hate having something on my truck that doesn't work.
