It's about time we had some sort of a meet. There appears to be a few more of us, now.

Most of us will get there at 9:00 AM.

Sabin is about 3 hrs from the Twin cities, 3 hrs from Winnipeg, 3.5 from Sioux Falls.

I am up for anything since I live in the cities but am at school in fargo. But not to whore your thread but there is a s10forum meet at long lake park baciscally in the corner of 35w and 694. There should be a couple syty's and a bunch of other s10 fullsizes and probably even an elky or two.

Any more info needed just shoot me a pm.

I might be interested in the Oct 13 date. About a 7 hour drive for me to get to Sabin MN. Keep us posted on any and all events you guys meet up at, you never know who might show up.

Will do. They have some 1/8 mile stuff in Minot from time to time, if you want to catch a track day.

Harvey has 1/8 mile races too, they should be having one in Sept, if they haven't already.

If I can get my motor back from the builder and get it put in I'd be down with cruisin up there. However, the chances of that happening this week are slim to nill. Dig, what's going on in Apple Valley? Maybe I can push the Sy there :rotf: Dan is still dicking with his truck, it's running (somewhat) but I don't think it can be driven yet...

Harvey used to have a couple races a year on their airport but some new regulations in the states came in last year saying no more racing on airport runways. They sold off all of their timing gear, guard rails, bleachers, everything. Minot is only 1/8 mile but it's a good time, lots of guys from here go to every race they have and it's only 2 1/2 hours from where I am. If I knew of a SyTy racing in Minot I would definately go out of my way to meet up. Here is Minots' website:

Too bad the last race there this year is the 14th to 16th, which is Canadian SyTy Nats :tup: and I don't wanna miss that!

I'd be interested in going to a meet. Winnipeg is only 3 hours from Fargo,7 hours from Mpls,not sure about Minot. But wouldn't mind meeting some other members.I could even bring down some Canadian beer if you guys wanted me to.

The Molson and Labatt you get up there is better than what they send us here, as well.

Let's go with the Oct. 13 date in Sabin. This might give the stragglers enough time to get running again. I know Anthony was looking for heads to get his back together. Mine just needs 4-5 days to get everything put back together.

I can't make any guarantees about the weather... complete crap shoot that time of year.
If it rains, we can head for my garage.

Spread the word far and wide. I'll get the Buick guys rounded up, too.

The 13th sounds good to us. It'll likely be Stevie burning up the track again as the Ty's engine has now made it's way to my garage in Chaska. I'm not sure what the heck I'm gonna do with it in the garage, though. I might just part the engine out and find a stocker to put back in some day.

It would be nice to see your Sy running again, Dig, to give me a little motivation

I need heads, exhaust manifolds and a CCHE. I've got that stupid 422 cam in there, so that's limiting my head choices. If you don't have yours running by the time we get up there, I'm unbolting those L35s from your block and putting them back on the Ty.

I should just put a stock cam back in it, bolt on your stock heads and call it a day.

Btw, has anyone else ever has mouse poo in your oil pans?

I have a set of 14094768 castings,fully ported/polished and a pass side manifold(small hairline crack in it). Can sell those to you cheap. I could bring them down when I go to the track.

What kind of shape are the valve seals in? How "cheap" are we talking?

The thought of putting stock heads onto a 4 bolt block with forged rods and pistons in such a downer...
