Just to update this.
I just finished my 2nd week back at work, still have to wear my turtle shell all day which gets old but I am glad to be working and walking and on the road to a full recovery. I still don't have 100% energy I had before, but it isn't bad.
Being I loved that car so much I have been on the lookout for a replacement, plus my backup tahoe isn't the most fuel friendly as a daily driver. Made commitment tonight to buy another vette, same year but it is a fixed roof coupe. Bit of miles on her, but being I want to drive it daily that is good and I happen to have a great parts car here for anything it needs.
Now only issue is the car is located a few miles away and will need shipped.
