Now im stumped, i need help!

here's my story. i had an overboost problem so i replaced my boost control solenoid and the vacum lines for it. i put the wastegate rod back to stock setting and my boost control is nice and solid. now when i go wot the truck underboosts by about 3 to 4psi through first and second gear. then in third gear it underboosts and then rockets up to 20 psi . when it rockets up to 20psi the truck lays down and my tach fluters around 4,000 rpm. i have brand new ngkur6 plugs, atr plug wires, full msd distributor, and a 3 bar map w/ulitmate. i have only about 1* of kr. what in the world would cause this problem????



p.s. i noticed this problem yesterday when i went to race a guy in a new gt mustang and i floored it and he flew right by me as my truck felt like crap and started cuting out

What kind of backpressure does your exhaust have..

Have you ran datamaster during this?

i have a 3inch high flow cat going into a spin tech muffler. i dont have dm im using auto exray im hoping its just a part like...... bad map sensor, major vacum leak, or maby my ultimate is messed up....

Overboost. The stock wastegate can barely keep up with a stock setup. Less backpressure on the turbo makes the wastegate even less effective.

when i had a crack in one of my vacum lines to the boost control solenoid had my wastegate adjusted so that it didnt overboost. and now my truck underboosts in 1st and 2nd gear and overboosts in third. but i guess maybe i have to go with the mini gate. how hard is the install on that?

i havnt had this problem with it only overboosting in third and underboosting in everyother gear. ive allways had solid numbers of boost in every gear...???
