ok, so derek and I are going to drive out rt 80 to state college and meet up with renz and his crew..

derek probably isn't bringing his truck due to tranny issues :(

so i'm going to be renting a trailer today or borrowing one from a friend.

i'm going to leave meeting up with the south jersey guys to renz..

Re: northeast driving routes

So our mini caravan will leave from state college and will take about 1 hr to get to the bedford exit of the PA Turnpike. Dennis will be calling me once they hit PA so i know when we should leave. Hopefully the Southern Jersey crew will still leave around 6pm - That'll put you out my way around 8:30 or so.

Everyone either post or PM me their cell phone numbers please. Even if you think i have it, please resend it so i can double check/update my phone. 814-883-1126 is me.

Re: northeast driving routes

we'll be in the STi. I'll have 1 open seat for the ride out...not that the rear of the STi is large.
Derek is riding w/ Smaug.
Jeff could use a copilot last i knew. Dunno if he's leaving from the poconos or from NJ though.

Re: northeast driving routes

i'm renting a trailer.. anyone the needs a ride or needs to bring stuff out let me know.. i should have plenty of room..

only downside is that I will be staying out there a day or two after nationals so bringing stuff back with me will be more difficult.

My cell is (609)847-1211. It's a Nextel so I can two-way with somebody if they also have Nextel.

Re: northeast driving routes

ok well, well that rules out my last seat option unless I feel like being crammed in a vehicle with 2 or 3 other people.

Re: northeast driving routes

Morgan, the tahoe Don got is full size. I dont think it would be that cramped at all. Now if you want to talk about cramped then we can talk about Don, Tara and I all going to Orlando and back years ago in my old Lightning. That was cramped.

Re: northeast driving routes

OK, here's our deal. In an effort to not show up completely exhausted to Nats (again) we'll be meeting Bob Galla (driving his Ty) in Breezewood PA at 5pm and heading west. I'll give Renz and/or Morgan a call when we stop for the night, maybe you guys can crash with us or close. As mentioned earlier, we won't be flying, esp if there's rain, as Bob's running his drag radials. How far are y'all looking to go tomorrow night?

Morgan - if you're looking for a comfy seat and can put up a tight one tomorrow, Bob's flying solo, I'm sure we'll have a seat for you somewhere on Thursday. (We're still gonna rotate driving.)

Also, Jason from my area might tag onto your train as you come through my area. He's getting back from N'awlins between 5 and 6, so I suggested taking his time and waiting for you guys. He's got your number.

Renz - don't forget my TB. :D

See you guys tomorrow!

Re: northeast driving routes

Jason just called me, he's flying up from Lousiana tomorrow morning to the Reading area. He's not sure if hes gonna catch up with the south jersey crew south of Reading or catch us out by Harrisburg.

Well since Don got a trailer and tow vehicle and wont be able to drive straght thru I figured that I would help out and save money and miles and go with them. I am also considering getting rid of the beast so I figured better safe then sorry. I actually got WONDERFUL price for trade in on a 2006 trailblazer ss it was unreal.
