Keep it up macg3CPU I am reading every one of these carefully!! Thanks for taking the time to post these.

I am also interested in the hard pipe results, as much as I like my stock IC the only thing I would consider trading it for is nothing at all! It sounds like Daron has been using a hard pipe as well, but I am afraid that he doesn't share his experiences & infromation anymore??

Daron has had several life changes in the past year or two. He has moved to Texas, started a new position, new house, changes in family situations, etc.

Right now his truck is sitting at my house for the summer. I don't think his truck has seen a track in 2 years either. OK, it was drive to KCIR at the nats but not raced as motor is about done with 115k miles on it and hundreds of 12 sec. passes.

We plan to do some back to back testing of the black pipe on jeremy's syclone later this year. (Jeremy's schedule is busy right now for any serious testing).

I will post that information as it is available.

Daron is far too busy(he says) to follow the threads on syty net. If you really want to talk to him try the old email list. He still frequents it.

As Jeff S mention the truck is at his house for a new motor & tranny swap. Daron is going air to air, so we are going to test the hot air pipe on my truck. I am very busy right now so it will be later this fall, but I am looking forward to trying it. If I rember correctly Daron truck picked up 4 psi just by getting rid of that pos stock intercooler! Also to quote Jeff S. the boost gauge moved faster than any he has ever saw.

I know they struggled (lots of knock when it came on) with the tune for a while with this setup due to the alky not being progressive, but hopefully my razor progressive kit will easy this pain.

PS nice having you back on the board Josh. I am looking forward to competeing against your truck @ the nats in 2006.Super Stock is going to be fun!

Indiana guys - Sounds like a swell plan. I can't wait to hear your results! I talked with Mark Larson and he had some exciting thoughts on the hard pipe as well. Said it spooled like a supercharger!

Jeremy: Thanks for the warm welcome-back! Hopefully my sometimes lengthy posts won't get too tiring/annoying :lol: I agree the racing should be close, as long as both our stock motors last..

Call NBS Performance Fabrication in Pinellas Park 541-1833, tell them you know me.
They do custom intercooler piping all the time so they could do that piece for you no problem.
