the other day i go to pep boys and boght a map sensor for my truck now before i put the sensor in the truck ran mint when i put the new sensor in the truck the truck will not start go figure pep boys gave me the wrong sensor now when i go to put my old sensor in the truck still wont start im gettin fuel and spark but no injector pulse im gettin power at both end of the injector connector but its not switchin over to ground to pulse the injector is it possible that when i put the new sensor in it spiked the ecm shorting out my injector driver in my ecm??? also i have a stage i jet chip in my ty i dont believe the chip is the problem any suggestions??? :squint:

Did you check the ECM fuses? They drive the injector pulses... thats what killed my Ty the first time I drove it on the new motor... I had some kind of random pulse that popped the fuse, hasn't happened again in 1300 miles :dunno:

yea both ecm fuses good like i said it ran mint before i put the new map sensor in i did realize that when i put the map sensor on the boost gauge went to full 15 psi i think i might have spiked the ecm??

It's not very likely that the ECM is dead just from changing the MAP sensor.... did the boost gauge settle down again with the old sensor? Also, have you tried disconnecting the ECM and letting it sit without power for a bit to reset it?

you might have bent the pins on the map connector? or the sensor?

make sure when u pluged the map sensor in when u moved the wires u didnt unplug the injector harness

You can get the service manual on ebay usually, or from www.helminc.com ... they made them for GM originally. I think there is a CD version as well.

Have you pulled codes after trying to start it ?

Ive actually ruined a MAP sensor, and the truck wouldnt start until it had a new one. I replaced it with a GM sensor :tup:

Sounds like an ignition module...they can be pretty goofy (in my experiences :lol: ). How did your injectors? With a "noid"?

yea i used a noid lite there werent pulsing i went to check codes a gain and know my ecm doesnt flash anything steadt check engine lite so im thinkin ecm took a shit
