No propshaft racing results

Re: No propshaft racing results

So this raises another question I have. Is it okay to dyno tune one of these trucks with the propshaft out? I would assume so since people have driven them down the 1320' without damage.

Any opinions?

It's just a six

I did about six dyno runs,, averaged 550 ft lbs of torque. No propshaft.
No problems.
100% stock untouched longblock.

We did a dynorun (sceduled 3) on Roberts Bad Ass when we where ther and also this without propshaft, thats worked out good BUT the problem was to get the engine the airflow it needed so the temp would be stabel in safe level.. THAT was a major problem for us that day (hot) and the hurricane fans they got did´nt managed this so it was canseled after the first test run.. on low boost

I wouldnt dyno tune on one ... I mean the engine is seeing a different load.

I wouldnt hesitate to dyno RUN one though ... I would guess you would see a higher hp without the extra load :) ---

so i managed a 14.2 with no front shaft and before i realized my inter cooler wasn't working. damn i wish i'd made it to the track after i fixed those cause i'm pretty sure i could have clicked off some killer times and that f^cking lightning wouldn't have beat me.

You think RWD is bad, try FWD. I had my main drive shaft out when I first bought the Ty to replace the Ujoint. Just for kicks I took a very short spin. It will break the front tires loose at basically any speed. If it downshifts while in boost, you get a good smoke show. AWD is the way to go.
