No more TV cable tranny failures

I didnt see any other threads or posts about it , but in the Feb 08 gmhightechperf , TCI has a third page ad on their new valve body . They claim it will prevent tranny meltdown from incorrect tv setting , which happens to be the most common cause of 700r4 failures .
Seems like one less problem the average syty'er could do without ,on Page 87 at the top .

I saw the same thing. Looks like a good idea, but according to TCI is still uses the tv cable for partial throttle shifts, just maintians minium of 200psi line pressure. I have a trans gauge installed, and my trans never peaks above 180* even with muiltple boost launches just with their 10-vane pump. I'll call my suppiler and see what its going for. How long is it going to take before someone comes out with a trans brake? Thats really what i'm looking for.

I threw a post up back in Oct. But no prob. There was only one reply. Maybe someone car try one? From what I read cooling and proper TV cable adjustment are keys to decent trans life.

running 200psi line pressure all the time will lead to some pretty violent shifts(broken hard parts and a sore neck) esp at part throttle. I wouldnt reccommend this unless you are building a race truck.
