no brake light on dash

Hello people,

So yesterday I jumped into my typhoon and I noticed that my brake light for the emergency brake doesn't light up anymore. I push the e-brake and released at least 4 times to make sure it really isn't working and nothing happened.

I then looked at my fuses and saw the brake fuse. I pulled it and the fuse is still good. I also checked my brake fluid and its full. I also noticed that my anti-brake light doesn't work because it used to have the light on all the time so I unplugged it but when I decided to plug it back in yesterday no anti-brake light showed.

So I was wondering if the anti-brake light and emergency brake light are some how connected? If not then is there a connector or something just for the emergency brake light? cause I would like to have at least my emergency brake light pop up again.

Re: no brake light on dash

Okay so I see the switch above the e brake pedal but how do you adjust it? It seems to be in a very small area and I can't get my hands in there. Or is do I have to remove the whole dash to get at it?

Ya, it's got a Turbo
Re: no brake light on dash

The switch on the E-brake just supplies a ground for the dash light circuit. Since your ABS Light doesn't work either I'd be looking at the dash cluster, or the circuit that supplies power for both lights. IIRC, the EHCU (Electro Hydraulic Control Unit - ABS) supplies the ground for the ABS dash light...

Re: no brake light on dash

I pulled the cluster today and turned out it was the bulb. Bought a new bulb and put everything back together. Now I have a brake light in my cluster again.

Thank you everyone for the input
