MAN!!! A guy can't go away fer a weekend w/o all hell breakin loose. I'm gonna say my piece and any other BS posts and I'll lock this thread.

Jack, your a GREAT GUY, I THANK YOU for helping me and Nick, and I do appreciate it.

I have to say I think there were some communication issues between the 3 of us, but its all water under the bridge now. :D 8)

Jack, please bring me the parts to Nats, and I'll thank you personally.

Nick and everybody else, TAKE YOUR PERSONAL BUSINESS OFF THE FORUMS OR KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.

Lord knows I've had issues w/some Listers/Vendors in the past, but you don't see me denouncing them here.

send an email or PM, and solve personal problems OFF LIST.

I'm gonna start just deleting malicious/posts threads like this in the future.

You'vce been WARNED.

Lookin forward to chillin w/my boys at the Nats!!!

See you in 3 weeks...... :D :) 8) :p

Now that's what I'm talkin' about Peter! I realize feelings have been hurt on both sides, but that's all behind us now. Let's get back to the issue at hand - the caravan and the Nats. :D

We're almost 3 weeks away - who's meeting who where and when? I know there was mention of folks driving at night, but haven't heard anything official about when folks were leaving. (Maybe I missed it?) Anyone care to shed some light on this for me?

BTW Peter - You've got one of the GMHTP's with us in, right? (If not, lemme know, I'll bring one along for ya.)

Thanks...

ok, I think the plan is so far, everyone from the CT/MA/RI area are driving down together and meeting the NJ/NY people at the Rockaway Mall in the late afternoon/evening of the 24th (thursday). Not sure of the departure time, but driving through the night and arriving on Friday morning is the plan so far I believe.

As for a departure time,

I want to leave between 7-8 pm on Thurs nite from Rockaway so traffic subsides, the air is cool and good for the trucks/trailers, and we have minimal interference. Also, that'll allow guys like me to get home from work, change, load up, get chow, and go.

Lemme know if this presents a problem for anybody.

I'm trying to eliminate the convertor issue w. Ultimate reburn. Pete, if that doesn't work, I think you did a boost valve replacement and/or a PR valve grind= will need your help (or anyone who has had exp. doing this..) to accomplish that. Then fix the loud 'clunk' from the front end, set up a STABLE boost control (no more 25 psi spikes as it shifts), snag the ATR aux. IC off of Dan, clean up the truck and get it to NED to dial it in.
That should do it. if not, I taking the 'Bru.

Looking forward to meeting all you folks down in jersey/ NY/PA.
This should be a friggin' blast!

George,

I can do the boost valve/PR valve grind if you need help replacing the parts.

Hmmmm.....

Well, I think we might end up with 2 caravans. The folks that go out with me every year don't want to drive at night - at least that's what I remember. We were planning on leaving first thing Thursday AM and getting there in the early evening. I'm sure you guys will make better time, especially as we'll be hitting Chi-town rush hour if nobody breaks down. However, I know (from past experience) that night driving and I go poorly together - I get sleepy while driving during the afternoon! BTW - at least 2 of us "daytimers" have no AC, so hope for a nice overcast day. :D

So, if anybody doesn't want to drive at night and wants to join us, they're more than welcome - you can even crash here (I'll find room somewhere...) Wed night if you need. (So long as 20 people don't jump at that...) I remember back in '98 when Peter was gonna do that - didn't you end up flying then Peter?

Morgan - are you leading the night-timers? If so, I'll make sure to take your number along and let you know if we hit any bad construction or anything stupid. And speaking of stupid, we may call in case someone has extensive problems and we need a part. (Anybody have a GPS with a dealership locator? That came in handy back in '98 as well, but our GPS man isn't coming with this year.)

What am I saying - I'm sure everyone will get there without problem. :D

Sound OK to you guys?

I'm not sure if I will be leading exactly, but i'll be in there somewhere :D I dont think we have gotten that far yet. But either way, once we get closer, the "night-timers" will put together a phone number list. I plan on bringing some extra parts with me.

I would like to hitch a ride from exit #161 of Route 80 (Bellefonte exit) at whatever time is convenient for whoever. I'll have me, my bag-o-clothes, and 4 sets of vortecs...and thats it. I travel lightly

Please email me or post here if you will be passing by there.

I was just reading all the recent posts and I was just thinking that we should leave just a little bit earlier. How about we meet at like 5:30-6:00 and l;eave at 6:00-6:30 on thursday? If we leave at 7-8:00 that gets us there at 12:00 on Friday the earliest, thats if it only takes us 16 hours. I'd like to get there at the latest 12:00 and if we leave a little earlier then we can have time for stopping, and anything else that might come up. Thats just my $.02, I know that Eric and I will be down in north NJ thursday afternoon probably around 2-4:00 just waiting to leave. I'm also going to try to get to tripple A next week and get printed out directions, then I'll make some copies for whoever wants them. I'm planning on bringing walkie talkies as well, so we can all keep in touch, it would be a good idea if more people brought some too, then we can all keep in touch. Let me know what everyone thinks about these ideas?
Lata,
Nick

I guess I got 16 hours from Boston, not from NJ. Well in that case if it's 13 then the original 7-8 would be fine. Does anyone else have any other ideas or comments?

Aaron,

i've driven/trailered every year I've gone to Nats, inc. last year when me and Eduardo drove 32 HOURS STRAIGHT to get to Great bend.

13 hrs is a cake walk. Strap on a set NASTE. See U in T minus 3 weeks from tomorrow.

Nick (NASTE Ty 92) is STILL ME BITCH!!! 8)
