Hello all, my name is Arn. Finally I will be reunited with my Typhoon. Its a 93 white on white with 73k miles. I bought it in 06 and drove it for about 4 months before it went into storage. I realized I couldnt afford it even though I paid for it with cash. Hopefully it will be transported to me within a week and so it begins again. So I say, be nice because I am a total idiot when it comes to these beasts. Its in excellent condition but I cant seem to get her to idle properly. She stalls at stoplights. Once its here, the floodgates will open and out comes all the questions that I asked in the beginning. I have tried to use the search function here but I have to ask the right questions which can be challenging for me. Anyway, South Carolina is going to be her new home and I cant wait. I'm sure I'm going to need all the help I can get. The mods...Full 3" exhaust, 50# inj which I will be changing in favor of 65lbers, phil long chip, 25k stall, baer brakes(front), hi flow fp, adj fpr, gn style upgraded turbo, ext wg, msd ign, hi output alt, slightly lowered to round out the mods. When I first drove her it was amazing but after the crank snapped she has been sluggish with idle problems. The phil long chip is an open loop chip and its hard to see what the voltage is on the O2 when on the dm but I plan to ditch the chip in favor of the code 59. Thats when I'm really going to need some assistance. I've been here for some time and still learning and hope to gain more knowledge to keep my truck in top shape. (Once it gets there) Anyone in the South Carolina or Charlotte area want to lend me your skills please let me know. I'm ready. Thanks and look forward to meeting my fellow sytyers here in the South...

2500 stall? why?

I was hoping someone could tell me.....It came with the truck....it was a Dynotech Performance upgrade. You probably heard of them in Manville, NJ. They upgraded the turbo, converter stall, injectors and a chip. They also upgraded the trans. Both their 2 bar chip and the 3bar phil long chip have problems with idle. It also falls flat on its face after 16lbs of boost at about 3k...I have a new silicon vac lines which I will immediately install once the truck gets here.....The dynotech engine and chip was awesome. I was afraid to go beyond half throttle when I bought the truck. When the crankshaft broke and with the new engine installed, she is alot less potent. I plan to do an initial dm run once the vac lines are put in and see if I can get someone to look at it....The phil long chip gives weird O2 readings but the 2bar chip reads much better.

Re: Newbie Sort of

The dynotech engine is dead. Why is a 2500 stall a bad choice? Or is it an unusual choice? I plan to go with a 415 or 422 cam in the future. Would the stall cause problems?

Now just to have some fun with you, but not meaning anything bad. If you two will reread his post you will find out what his problem is, and why his truck is not running right. Here I will help you out, look at the bold highlighted text.

Its official!! My truck made it in one piece...2yrs of neglect doesnt look too bad. I do have rust from a questionable door but hopefully it can be repaired. Right now she is teasing me because she wont start. Tomorrow I charge the 2nd battery in the truck so she has to start!! Wish me luck....This day was a long time coming......

Yea i too had unpleasent dealings with dynotech

To be honest, I dont know who's worse Dynotech or the previous owner. Its very possible that the engine work in the truck may not have been their work.....Who burns a 50lb chip to put it in a motor running 30lbs? My thoughts are the idiot who owned it before blew up the Dynotech motor well before he sold the truck to me and just lied about it....sounds typical?

Re: Newbie Sort of...pics added

to be honest with you they had built both motor and trans i had numerous trans problems. none after the new converter but then again i didnt drive it that much or use it after it was finally fixed but no engine problems at all.only problem was a heavy pen and crazy price
