Re: Newbie looking to buy a Typhoon....a few questions

I am the owner of a Typhoon! :myclone:

Went for a look last night at was pleasantly surprised....until we moved off on the test drive! A horrible metallic clanging coming from underneath that would have sent many a buyer packing. On further inspection however the front prop joint was found to be the cause of the noise, not the transmission, so a deal was struck. I wasn't quite prepared for the 3 hour drive home at 80mph though, quite an ordeal when you've just stepped out of a BMW 740i!. The lack of carpets and door cards made for a very noisy ride and with no stereo to drown it out.

Anyway, I'm blown away by the boost and can't wait to get it back to its former glory.

It will be the weekend before I can get any pics up.

Congratulations. When you replace the front propshaft I recommend buying a Gilbert or other high quality aftermarket shaft rather than another stock piece.

When I open that link it takes me to some other page with personals, jobs, real estate ect.

The domain hasn't been renewed. But don't worry, all the info is backed up in multiple places.

Here's a copy of the quick reference buyers guide .... It's pretty much the only thing I've had time to add to the site.

Where in Scotland are you located? I am based in Edinburgh from time to time.

Congrats and well done with the prop shaft fix! Get a Gilbert or D&R shaft.

So what number is your truck?

As mentioned before:
