Traded for a set of 17" WS6 wheels. I think I like them alot.
Notice, all my Typhoon decals have been removed. Todd Anderson is printing some new ones for me in red. Thanks Todd.

wow, they look nice. i have never really been a fan of the WS6 on sytys, but they look pretty jammin on your ride. good luck with them, i give ya a big thumbs up.

damn joe... making me wish i waited and got a typhoon instead... that thing looks damn good!

those carbon fiber altezzas are starting to grow on me. but i hate how they mark them up so high... 100 bucks for pieces of fucking plastic! bullshit i say!

I like how they look also.Were they a direct bolt on,or did you need to do some work,or use spacers or something?

Sweet, I was thinking about getting those rims but I never saw a pic of them on a Sy/Ty. Now that I see them on your Ty, I like them a lot, even more so than the Camaro SS 10-spokes or ZR-1s. Did you get those from SLP? Also, is the rear spacer conspicuous or do you have to look closely to see it?

I traded my polished/painted stockers for them with a guy in CT. He said they are supposed to be chrome, but it looks more like a high polish or powder coat to me. They are GM though.
The spacers are not noticible at all. You can't even see them. I made mine using 1" longer studs that came with the wheels and an old pair of wheel adapters. I think the studs are for a big truck or something, cause they look real heavy duty with a larger head on the end.

I think the next step is going to be adapting late model Z-28 disk brakes to the rear. It looks like it will be pretty much bolt on.

Any idea where I could get longer wheel lugs like that? I actually took the time to make spacers on a lathe. I made them an inch thick and they have a hub so that the rims can rest on the hub and not depend entirely on the lugs. Unfortunately I was unable to find lugs long enough to use with them.. I have tried: A&A, Napa, Advanced, Pep Boys, Autozone, and a couple local fastner shops.

The guy said he got them at Napa. They weren't exactly 1" longer, more like 7/8" longer. They are not threaded all the way.

i have to give props where props are due.
i was thinking about useing those wheels for along time now.. and i can say " way cool "

its nice to see a typhoon wearing 17" 5 spokes that ARE NOT ZR-1's no offense to anyone with ZR-1's.. but when everyone else has them.. its cool to see other F-series wheels on a ty and look just as cool if not better.

once again "props" to the guy with the new wheels

I just noticed something...I thought the Firehawk wheels and the WS6 wheels were the same but not so. The Firehawk wheels have thinner spokes and the rim is also different. The Firehawk wheels look nice but the spokes are too thin IMHO. The WS6 rims look really nice on your Typhoon. There are a few sets on eBay right now if anyone's interested. Joe - do the WS6 wheels sit flush with the cladding or are they set in or out some? How about some front and rear pics?

The ones on ebay are cheap aftermarkets from what I hear. They do set out a little more, but not too much. Check my website for more pics.
