Had some pics of before and weights of EVERYTHING, but the wife is retarded and lost the pics. now i get to re-weigh everything and get pics of it so people know the weight savings of ditching the stock crap.

No the arms will not stay green, the Koni's will not stay yellow, and it will not say corvette on the calipers.

The arms are Dustan's. I know about the hate for them, dont care. Yes i know my bolts are loose, it is only mock-up for now. so far so good with only minor clearancing, but it is not the supposed hard side

More photos and write up to come. Gonna pick up my C6 ZO6 wheels, black, 18" 9.5 fronts, 18" 10.5 rears running a 255/40, 295/35, BFG KDW's.

Re: new upgrades (with pics)

Got my wheels and tires in. There were 2 nicks in one wheel i am not happy with, but some touch-up paint fixed that. Front tire could be wider for the rim, but i didn't have a choice.

I need a 5/16 spacer on the front for fitment and a 1" in the rear for the tire to line up with the cladding. Dont have the spacers yet.

Here are some photos.

Re: new upgrades (with pics)

ok, did some weighing today of stock to not stock comparison.

Ok, this is per side

front end
porkchop: 2lb, 7 oz

torsion: 14lb, 6oz

upper a-arm= caliper= pads= dust plate= ball-joint: 15lb, 6oz

lower bj: 14oz

lower a-arm: 20lb, 6oz

shock: 3lb,12oz

bolts: 1lb,2oz

i tossed my rotors so i can only use a similar one at 15lb

i got 62lb, 3.8 oz

Re: new upgrades (with pics)

ok,this is different than most c/o front ends, I have a Dustan , not RPM or JS.

upper with bolts, and joint bolts: 4lb, 2oz

lower with bolts, and joint bolts: 8lb,14oz

c/o shock and bolts: 7lb,5oz

c6 zo6 rotor: 26lb

c6 zo6 caliper: 11lb,4oz

i come up with 57lb, 5.6oz

my brakes add quite a bit over stock stuff.

Re: new upgrades (with pics)

i will get rear weights here real soon, but only expect to gain a little there. also going to remove torsion cross member and build a new tubular one. gonna try limit straps for drive shaft loops, its an off road thing, plus they are removable. Hope to loose some weight there, at least 10#s

You gonna make those aftermarket Upper arms that correct ball joint angle this summer for it too?

I like how your front bumper lines up!! Must have taken some work to get it that way. Oh, and the brakes and arms look good too!

Re: new upgrades (with pics)

Oh I know I pmed you a few months ago about it

yep,and i devised a new plan, still hiemed, but not placed on the a-arm,but in the spindle itself with tabs on the arms instead. Off-road shit again, but if it works for them, it should be even better for us.

If you can see the way the hiem is mounted and if you notice the upper arm, mind you mine will not be billet alm, then you get the gist. hiem mounted arms without the incorrect loading of the hiem. should be strong and would not matter if you wanna lift it or slam it.
