Nice looking truck! Very very clean!

What vent/grille are you using for your air intake?

Also, I noticed a black sort of padding between your cladding and body. Can you give us some details on that? Does it help from keeping the cladding from rubbing on the body? Should help seal it up and keep dirt from getting in there as well.

Great job!

Looks real nice. I like the thin rubber molding all around the cladding to help so the cladding doesn't chew through the paint. It seems the International guys are alittle more creative at least cosmetically than here in the US.

I am teh kingpin!
it's not bad. i do like the color and the rims.

i dont like the tail lights, and the height. i would lower it down, to get a real nice effect wit theh 18s.

also i'd ditch the rear wing thing.

-I just replaced the leaf springs so hopefully it will go down an inch or so...

-The vent was there when i bought it so i don't know where it's from. The cadding doesn't rub off but i can admit that it doesn't stay put all the time!!

Zelari,

Cool color and nice Typhoon. What type of rubber stripping was used between the cladding and the body-work? I am getting ready to repaint my 92' Typhoon and want to use the that rubber stripping.

It looks like you used lenses from flourescent office lights to make your turn signal lenses. You may have come up with a decent solution for those of us that are trying to keep the cladding from rubbing through the paint.

-Hi Joel!!

-The rubber stripping is just a standard thing u can buy everywere. Just try to find something that's got a good fitting size for your cladding. Try to find a rubber that's as tight as possible though, otherwise your gonna have problem with getting it to stay put.

-What color are you gonna put on your truck this time??

-Hi!!

-The corner and back lenses are s-10 options from "A1 American Products Company". I changed to transparent lenses and put colored bulbs in them. The red turn/brake/rear bulb was rediculessly expensive though, I paid 30$ each. But it was worth every dollar in my opinion!!

-What I can tell u about not getting troubled with the paintjob, is just to remove the cladding once in a while and clean it. I've had no problems what so ever with my paint job. I know that it's less funny to remove the cladding, but it's worth every buck if you wanna keep your truck in mint condition.

The piping that goes around the cladding looks very similar to that used on early model VW beetles between the fenders & the body.

If you guys are interested, buy Hot VW's mag. or there's another one that escapes me, VW Trends, maybe. You'll find plenty of vendors to buy it from.
If I remember it comes in a long roll & you can get it in a couple of shades/colors including white.

Hi! Zelari,

I want to repaint it Apple-Red with a pearlescent clearcoat with ghost flame's and then a darker metallic gray that matches my ZR-1 wheel's that I had powder-coated in Black Chrome. It should look trick when it is finished. The paint on the truck is in great condition, but one of the previous owner's repainted the cladding and re-clearcoated the car without taking the cladding off, crack-city  . Then I want to have all my engine component's using the same black-chrome scheme in the engine compartment, it is something I have not seen yet on any Typhoon's.

-I'm considering a major makover on my tryck the coming winter, so f***ing tired on the bozo that owned the Ty before me so I'll have to to it right for once instead of a little at the time. The only thing he took care of was the engine, wich on the other hand is a 450hp beauty. (can't get it all i guess) I've put down a good 10.000 $ since i bought it in september just to turn it into a truck u can drive on a daily basis. For an example; the rear shock absorbers where open it the top end a s o... :x
-Probably I'll strip it totally and repaint it in the same color as it is for the moment, exept that I'll have it metallic with maybe a pearl inlay. The only thing missing in the engine for the moment is the PT70.
I'm also considering, that in the same time as I do the paintjob, to turn the engineroom to an eyecather too...

We'll se..

Zelari,

Sound's like we are on the same page concerning upgrading our Typhoon's, my truck was also ridden really hard and put up wet. :x It has the upgrade's for 12's and pull's really hard. I am trying to figure-out if my torque-converter had been upgraded, because my Typhoon pull's really-hard from a 20-30 mph roll and it is alot faster than my Dad's 93' Typhoon. I am going to go with the 50# injector's and 50# Ultimate chip-upgrade, going to see how fast my Typhoon will go on the stock-turbo. In the future I want my truck to be a daily-driven truck that run's 10's in 1/4 with the AWD. I would love to upgrade the head's and turbo, but would rather upgrade the suspension to coil-over's and add Baer brake's first, my Typhoon is already to fast for the stock brake's. Hopefully my truck will be repainted by the end of the summer here in Florida. I am on the waiting list for a 2002 Yamaha R1 in red, so I have transportation when the Typhoon is apart. :D I have invested so much money my Typhoon that I have no choice but keep it forever!
