i just purchased a syclone #677, 14K miles, beautiful truck. i've wanted a syclone since they were new, so i finally purchased one. i live in southwest florida. i would like to hook up with a shop that can work on my new truck. i own several muscle cars; however, the mechanics that i currently use have no experience with syclones. i want to get this truck checked out and i want to get educated about it's capabilities. please call me at your convenience, 941-380-1298.

Re: New Owner

Boca Grande is a barrier island about 50 miles south of Sarasota. do you know of anybody in this area that could check my truck out to see if it's operating as it should? i've had all kinds of muscle cars including a 2006 Z06 which I recently sold. i have a friend with a viper powered pickup truck with a big mouth. is it possible for a syclone to spank one of these things or do i need some modifications? thank you very much, if you would like to call me 941-380-1298.

Re: New Owner

Thanks for the response, I was surprised to find someone so close. I would really like someone to drive my truck and tell me if it is performing as it should. I've never riden in one before, so I have nothing to compare it to. Please give me a call when you have some time. 941-380-1298 cell or at my clinic (in Port Charlotte) 627-3711. Thanks Craig.

Re: New Owner

The only real mechanic you should trust will be an owner himself. This rule works 99.9999% of the time.

If they don't own one, or have not owned one they typically don't understand.

I don't know what SRT-10's run in the quarter, but they have a hard time hooking up (traction). So, from a dig, a Sy might win.

Also, you have a 14k stock truck? Most would recommend keeping it stock...less problems in the long run...and pure stock trucks are increasingly rare. But, to each his own. :2cents:

Re: New Owner

If its got 14k on it, and is sharp and clean. Park it in the garage and move it once or twice a month. Buy a beaten Sy for like $8-10k to have fun with. It'll pay off in say, 5-10 years when you list this truck for sale with only 18k on it rather then 35k. And you will be thankful when you have alot more money then what you spend on it.

Plus if you get a beaten truck and mod it. You wont feel as bad because in all actuality your making it better. ;) And finding a beaten truck for $8-10k should be rather easy.

As for the capabilities of our trucks. Some light searching in the racing forum should answer all your questions. Or even by clicking on the timeslip page.
