I remember a few months back everyone was saying what an ass kicking these cars would lay on us.

I got into one from 20 punch and a 60 punch. On the 20 punch I literaly ran off from him. On the 60 it was about 5-6 lengths by a 100 or so. They need to do something about that loud annoying whinning sound. WTF almost 40k for that car and it makes that awfull dying cat sound. Ill stick with the turbos. Im looking to get into it at a redlight so I lay one on'em.

I think the ZO6 is a "little" hotter but not much!

What do you have done to your truck??!!

I've seen in-car footage of a guy gettin on one hard and the speedometer looked like a needle on a voltage tester it moved so fast!!!

They do sound like crap but good lord...they're fast.

How you like this MOD? I was supposed to get an Apexi AVC-R off of ebay and the dude that was selling them was shutdown by EBAY and PAYPAL.. Needless to say me no get boost controller.. I read an article/comparison in SPORT COMPACT CAR about them (friend subscribes, not me).. Anyhow it seems like the Blitz and the Apexi were pretty close, but the BLITZ seemed to ramp up just a wee bit sooner. Price for price they also match each other. I was gonna go with the Apexi cuz of the fact I preferred the screen VS the somewhat lame-o one of the Blitz, but then again, thats all subjective and everyone has their opinions.

Seriously tho.. How do you like it ?

I use the innovative on the buick and honestly I like the Blitz as much or more. I really love its small size and it is completly tuneable which I really love.

heres my take:
the sbcid is great for all cars that do not suffer from loss of traction.
the ability to set boost on the fly to any set level you want is awesome.

with the avcr, it is a bit trickier. you really cant set it to 17psi and then to 22 with ease.
it is designed for a front wheel drive car (most imports) where a stepped up boost can be achieved IMHO.

but it does look cool, especially with the SAFC.

pittman, when are you gonna let me come up to see your sy?
did you attend chuck's with the rest of ntx_syty?

FWIW.. I have the SBC-iD on myclone. It works flawless, easy to use, etc, etc.. I got mine from Al Dunstan for $520 to my door AND it comes with the benefit of being able to call him up and get tuning help for it. Which usually turns into us discussing sytys in general. Not to knock anyone else who offers it cheaper but try to find someone that even knows what a syty is let alone know how to mod one properly.

Hey David, I went to the SUPRA STORE and the $400 price tag isnt for the SBC-ID, its for the lesser model. They show it at a price close to Dustan's.
I may just bite the bullet and get that one since there are some peeps here who have it and can assist me with the learning curve on it. It DID ramp up the boost slightly quicker than the AVC-R but not anything that probably will be noticeable. Either way I DO like the idea of being able to read in PSI vs BAR and thats a selling point on the BLITZ that I dont think the APEXi has.

Thanks again.

I guess it would hurt to mention I bought mine at the supra store but the price has gone up since my purchase. Maybe the dollar is getting weaker over seas or something

no thats not it.
they can just charge more and people will purchase it.

before the F&F movie, many parts were a lot cheaper.
Example 1: HKS VPC (fuel control system)

Before: F&F 750-800
After: 1100-1200

many other parts went up in price, like gauges....

Oh well...
