Can you help with this problem?
Here is a little history, I had the engine rebuilt last fall and it hasn't run right sense. During the rebuild I had a lot of up grades. Here is a list..machine shop did the short block work and assembly, stock 4.3 .030 , eagle rods CRS570063D, pistons TRW-L2441F30, cam 09-412-8, oil pump M-55HV , double roller timing, KB under drive pulleys,machine shop assembled, balanced and set to cam spec's,heads L-35, 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust extreme duty, RPM performance spring kit (single spring), machine valve and spring pockets for new valves and springs,I did porting, and gasket matching work myself,
machine shop did head assembly, lifters comp cam roller (high energy from RPM)
push rods stock length (comp cams), rockers 1.6 full roller (comp cams), ARP studs for 1.60 rockers
components (new), knock sensor, idle air motor, TPS, map 3 bar, main shaft and pick up coil, throttle body 52mm, and air foil, balancer, boost control solenoid, ATR super pump, and adj. regulator, stock injectors, Led Ultimate chip for stock injectors, CR42TS plugs
wires, conrad cap , Caspers knock gage, 160 thermostat, 20G turbo
problem 1 - I can't get the lifters quite sounds like solids not much oil out of push rod but with good gage reads 65 at idle at the turbo hose and oil gage in truck at 3/4. Tried another new set of lifters and 1.5 rockers from comp cams still noisy.
problem 2- The truck seems to run with a mind of its own. With the truck in gear its idles very low and sometimes stalls unless I keep my foot on the throttle, idle also hunts. At 55 or 60 light throttle feels like I'm against a strong head wind and if I give it throttle sometimes it pops in the intake, at slight throttle idle or 55mph knock light flashes ( ultimate chip ) like crazy give it quarter throttle or more and the light stops flashing.
The scan tool and caspers knock gage don't show any knock?
Looking at what I put in the truck could the combination cause my problem? (Like under drive pulleys)
After talking to Todd from ultimate chip he said his the chip I bought from him won't work, and he doesn't make one for my set up. Can you burn one for my set up? would it work in the ultimate set up?
I would appreciate any help or advice.
