New member, Hi all

[Syclone #1188]

Good to see there is a site for the sy/ty owners. I live in central Nebraska, dont see many sy/ty running around this area. The number of my syclone is 1188, it has 44k miles on it now.

Its not running now, just recently got the urge to get it going again, Its going to be a task cause its been sitting in a garage for 12yrs. In the process of pulling the motor for new pistons, cam, heads.turbo Hopefully have it going this summer

So you have had it for 12 years? Or bought it from someone that had it sitting for 4 years?

Ive owned it since 1997...it got parked cause of motor issues....it has a hole in one of the pistons. Im pulling the motor and going threw everything...replacing gas tank,lines,ect.....

Yep thats central Ne, I live about 15min west of Hastings. Kenasaw Ne, Its a small town of about 800 people.

Welcome to the site. I'm not too far from you here in WY.

Wy is a great state, Go there every year during summer time. We go riding atv's in the mountains west of Centenial...lots of good times there.

Well, i go out there for the 4th, and turkey day. Prob wont be going for the 4th this year, but 15 miles is so close, could totally come say whats up...

my dad and i go out to the depot for some test passes, gotta love the lower altitude

What is the depot? Only tracks I know of are in Kearney and Hastings. Been to the Kearney track several times but never to the Hasting one. I plan on trying out the Hasting track when I get the truck going again. Looks like they have a street class that would be fun to race in.

If your ever in the area let me know, it would be cool to meet up with some sy/ty owners.

the old navy depot, outside of hastings. used to be a great spot for draggin back in the late 70, straight asphalt roads. now the roads have turned to shit, but if you look around you can find a good spot to make a pass, pretty deserted.

Welcome. I saw your other post with the picture of the piston damage. It would benefit you to data log your truck when you get the rebuilt engine so you can keep a eye on things. Don't want any more broken pistons. If you are adding performance parts you will need a different tune/chip. Search and ask questions.

I am originally from Okla. I have been Pheasant hunting in the Hastings area. Many years ago. That was a lot of fun. You can sure understand why Neb. is called the corn-huskers when you see that area.

Hey there, I'm new to the site and in Lincoln. Wife has family out near Minden/Hartwell area. How did the rebuild go?
