Finally was able to become a member. I have loved syclones and typhoons since I seen my first at the age of 16. Finally getting to where I can purchase one for pleasure. I am keeping my eye out for a low mileage stock or modified. Great forum guys and a lot of good looking vehicles

We have a lot of members, I know of 30+ trucks. Getting them together once a year is hard due to owners lack of interest in traveling to far or there truck is an incomplete project. I know first hand as I made that mistake starting a project I couldn't realistically finish in a year. My Sy is that example, been on stands sense 05. But it's 75% complete, lol and has been for 4 years

Re: New member from West Texas

Thanks guys for the welcome. I remember as a teen buying both syclone and typhoon model cars and putting them together and drooling over them. Hopefully someday soon. I have found a few but I don't want to jump the gun and get a basket case

Maybe it would make a difference if this meet was in the middle of the state. Someone from El Paso or Amarillo or Wichita falls would be motivated if they didn't have to travel down south. Abilene could be an option. Just a thought.

Plainview isn't too far from me. I'm out in Lubbock and Amarillo pretty often.

Belton/temple is central to the 4 larger surrounding cities holding the most trucks. Houston, SA, Austin, Dallas are all around a 3hr drive. I'm sorry if you live in west texas, I chose this area based on the above facts and it's 1/4 mile dragstrip that is open Saturday evening for street racing.

Picking one up this Friday. We should meet up some time

Awesome. I'll have my Ty at a cars & coffee meet Saturday morning in Clovis. Then I'll be out in Lubbock on Saturday night. I probably won't have the Ty with me in Lubbock though

Abilene has a racetrack off I-20. I think. Stephenville is ok :) It stinks we have to be so far. Not your fault, sir. What kind of turn out do you guys usually have?

Six trucks last year, had 4 people drop out. I have a lot of guys that know about it just don't put forth the effort to go. I love driving my truck(s) so I don't mind driving it 3-4hrs once a year

Did you end up getting the white/white one? If so, I'm jealous.

Yes I am getting the white one. A lot of money was spent on this one. Full Baer brakes all the way around. Almost anything you could do has been done.
