New member from IN, Just bought Syclone #0839

Hey all just joined the group and just took delivery of Syclone 0839 on Sunday. I had two Syclones years ago and just recently decided to pick up another. It was sold new in TN, then went to FL in 1998 and I just purchased it from an owner in NY who bought it for his wife and she wouldn't drive it. Bone stock, all original paint and just turned 30,500 original miles today as I was driving it to work!

Debating doing some bolt on mods to make it run a little better (air filter, exhaust, fuel pump, EGR delete and maybe a wastegate controller). Nothing that can't be changed back to stock. What are the best mods to improve performance and increase driveability? Anything to not do?

Thanks!
Brian

Welcome fom Indiana. The mods you mention are fine. There is a lot more to NOT do than to do with a stock motor. Remember f you are going to modify it you need a datalogger and be able to understand the results.

Generally speaking though, I would keep it stock with exception of fuel pump and other general reliability mods. Plenty of fun and far fewer headaches.

Good luck and reach out if I can help.
