These trucks are cursed
i get home from work and decide to take the sy out for a lil spin around the block since i havent driven it in weeks... well a lil drive ends up turning into a trip to the gas station and to the grocery store, coronas are on sale this week 
on my way outta the gas station i see one of the new infinity's gettin on the gas and speed by... i didnt even know they were out yet, so i haul ass and catch up to him, i pull along side and its a kid driving, id say 18 or 19 at the oldest, so i know he's down to race.
my truck has been running like total shit lately, not to mention it looks like shit cause cladding is missing, my muffler mount broke and the muffler is laying on the rear axle, and its dirty as hell.
after following this kid for a few miles we finally hit a red light with no cars in front of us, and i manage to get the passenger window half way down (yeah the motor is broke too) and rev the engine at him a couple times while looking over. he looks over sizes up my ghetto looking sy, and smirks... so i get on my PA and say "hey how bout it? lets see if daddy pissed his money away on something that will lose to a lil S-10" he then rolls down the window and says what you have in it? and wanting to keep his interest in the race, i say "all the same shit you do, turbo and AWD" which is followed with "thats turbo'd?!?!! hehehe yeah right" and i said believe what you want when i show you nothing but tail lights hahaha by this time the opposing light is turning yellow so i get ready for my launch.
since this kid is kind of a punk and im not really sure what im up against, i decide im gonna drop a nice 12lb launch.
light turns green, and there go the back tires spinning, i guess 12lbs was a lil too much :lol: but my sy got outta the hole pretty good. and i pulled a few car lengths on him immediately. so obviosly hes not aware of launching once i hit 70 my truck started bogging and dropping boost, and he started catching up. he got up to my door once we hit about 85, then i slowed down, and he went by. he kept going straight and i had to turn so i didnt get to talk to him after the race.
i gotta say im pretty impressed with that thing, it gave me a better run than any WRX has... but then again my truck is running like shit so maybe it seemed closer than it shouldve?
either way, fun race! good times. id like to see how one does which a good launch and a good driver.
