No no, It's going in Tuesday morning for the entire day to GN Northwest, not the dealership I'm buying from. I'm just hoping that previous owners see this thread as well and put their .02 so I can know for sure what else this has for mods, some history, etc. The inspection will be the deciding factor on the purchase.

I had this truck in 02 I want to say. My last memory of it was seeing it in the parking garage in downtown Portland after I asked my lovely girlfriend of 6 years to be my wife, to which see said yes. But that was a long time ago, things have changed, may she burn in hell.

As far as the truck, I was technically the third owner though I don't know if the deputy I made sell it to me had it long enough to put it in his name. I bought it for $7500 with 142k or something like that. It was stock & my first Ty.

I did the aux intercooler (B&M trans cooler), ic lines to soft lines, k&n cone, lowered, tokicos, boost gauge, 3bar w/custom tune by Syco (no longer a member??) Catback exhaust, rear sway bar, maybe a few other small things. I sold it a year or so later to an old man. It had 15x,xxx miles. Maybe 154k. Sold it for 9500 or something like that. Hard to remember, its been ten years & lots of beers.

Oh & hp fuel pump, hotwired ic, electric fan on lower cashe, jabsco high flow ic pump, billet fp regulator....

I don't know why the front end is so high, & the shifter & taillights are hideous. Oh, it had a nice alarm with remote start on it too. I also did the starter wire fix. If I remember anything else ill post.

Just FYI, that Ty was listed for $1000 less three weeks ago. As previously mentioned, it's been for sale for a long, long time at Kompact. In the time they've had it, they've sold a black 93 Ty and a Sy. There is a reason it's been passed up for so long. In a roundabout way, I know the owner of Kompact, and if this was a worthwhile truck, I would have bought it for considerably less than what it's listed for now. It does sound like your mind is nearly made up, but now you have my :2cents: too. If you do buy it though, it will stop them from over posting it on CL. For that, I will thank you.

Thanks for the information. I think the guy who bought it after you is the one I spoke to on the phone that had it for sale in Oregon who'd painted it. After that it appears to be one other inert who may have done the shifter swap.

Did you get a chance to watch my two videos? I'm curious about how the boost comes on and why it only pings at WOT but not normal throttle even though the boost psi is the same.

I've sold cars back when for a short while, so I know better than to pay asking price...but I'm also not going to ask them to drop their pants unless I have verified information. I'm by no means set on the truck as I'm driving down to Federal Way right now to look at another BMW X5 4.4 for the same asking price with 50k less miles. Long story, but I sold my X5 thinking I wouldn't need it, but after one winter I'd driving my Harley F150 on the stock engine, I know that the truck will be dangerous to drive another winter since I've almost doubled the HP, hence why I want an AWD winter beater.

www.boykomotors.com/2001_BMW_BMW_Federal Way_WA_195178818.veh - went with what I know, and decided on this. I've had one in the past before I bought the Harley F150, and I've always loved this blue color. I'll be selling the wheels for another set of X6M wheels like I had before, then painting all the body cladding blue to match...going for an X5M look - www.cars2review.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/BMW-X5M-on-Velos-Designwerks-Solo-V-01.jpg

Thanks for the input everyone gave on this thread.
