So i know there are a lot of people trying to make the coil on plug setup work on our trucks. That would make things a little nicer on the truck along with having the ostrich to tune it quicker/easier.
Well I have been thinking this over and just wonder if it would be possible, I'm looking to hear from the syty nuts who know a lot about our current setup.
Do you think it would be possible to adapt the pcm from a gtp to our trucks? Yes I see wiring could be an issue but thats all I can really think of. You can use hptuners to tune everything and it to me is a better ecm. As far as I know it does everything our ecm does just better and more options plus to me an easier setup for tuning.
I have a spare gtp pcm and a wire harness off the fiancee's totaled gt that I could possibly make work so I was just wondering what some people thought of something like this.
My reason for thinking about this is efi connections kit that makes the ls1 pcm usable on lt1s and old school small blocks. I asked if they could possibly make something work on our trucks but they said there isn't a v6 pcm program for those pcms and they just don't have the time to research it.
I have also been checking out the gtp forum and found this nice gt

He used to run 8.65 with twins and now he wanted to make it more streetable/driveable so he switched to a single turbo and redid a lot of stuff. They put it on the dyno and gave it a rough tune to 720ish horsepower then took it to the track for an event they were having and the shakedown run was a 9.25 and the second was a 9.10
I just think its crazy they can be so much more ahead of us!
So who thinks this might be possible? Thanks for any info
