Tonight we let the Tech inspektors check the truck and tomorrow (Friday) its time to try, kick that 8 in the A$$

My 5$ is still on Robert to do it first..

Matt got your engine in and tuned up?

Ed removed your training turbo´s and got the real one´s in place??

Here in sweden we are 6 hours before you at the eastcoast, so a sertain advantidge this time for Robert, You on the odder hand have race´s every weekend, and to my knowledge there have not been any good atemt to krack that elusive 8?.

Så tomorrow Robert is REALY going for his try, and get it..

We just got our motor back the weekend of July 4th. dad will take his time putting everything back together, so i would guess at least 3 weeks b4 we're ready to go.

My 5$ is still on Robert to do it first..

As long as you have track time within the next 2-3 weeks u definately have a chance it to be 1st after that then ....... well im not a betting man! im jokin! good luck in runnin 8.9X!!! Be safe!!!!

while that would be very cool to see, I think it'd be nice to start off with something more simple. Any two of them on the same track at the same time, racing each other. :tup:

Robert had a go at Gardemoen and did a 9.29..

And ED (thread ovner) have done a 9.5x

Today with only 3 runs (alot of trans failurs in the track did stopp more runs :C ) we managed to do a "bracket" series of times..

Med 1á run 1.39 i 60` in 1/8 5.91/123.2 Mp/h in 1/4 9.200/151.2 Mp/t

och 2á run 1.40 i 60´ in 1/8 5.93/122 Mp/h in 1/4 9.22/151.2 Mp/h

sedan 3á run 1.42 i 60´ in 1/8 5.95/123.2 Mp/h in 1/4 9.23/151.2 Mp/h

Due to lack of runs we settled for this for the night,, MORE to come tomorrow

Robert is a Young and hot driver, famouse for his cobra like reaktion on the tree when the race is for the winn not the timeslips

Good to hear. this will (for us) be a once in a lifetime adventure so we shoul realy enjoy the company of bouth Hoovers and Hess, and some of the other fast Sy/Ty´s AND not to mention all other members on this fine forum

This is Roberts dream and I´m glad to be with him in this..


Maybe I can do MY dream next year? to be on NOVA NATIONALS
Be´n a member sins -84 and never could afford attending.. next year I´ll be hm and oldie and to do a birthday present like this would be a memory for life

Yes we recond that too, but we have more to play with on ignition and boost..

But 3 runs on 6 hours.. LOOOOTS of bike´s and some trashed transmissions, dont direkty give us time to try some new settings.. :C

Dang Matt you guys sure seem to be takin alot of heat on this one, but hey when you have a 9.004 under your belt, your basically a heavy weight champ defending his title from everyone. Good luck to ALL who are trying for 8's and let the numbers tell the story.
