need typhoon tranny case . which one?

i bought a 92 ty from a member on here and like a dummy i just took his work for it that it wasnt as bad as it was . oh well lesson learned . the bellhousing is cracked in two but the trans is supposed to be new and rebuilt so i need a th400 case to swap my supposedly good parts into what vehicle do i need to get it from ?

Th-400? Our trucks use a 700-R4! Unless a swap was done that's what you need to be looking for. Try a 4x4 jimmy/blazer with OD and you should be good.

Generally all cases are the same, if its a stock trans 700r4 you want a K case if I remember correctly. May require some tabs to be removed.

www.wittrans.com will ship a case directly to you.

Part # U74760F appears to be right at $130.

Well I got lucky. It was a Jasper transmission. And the truck has been through two owners but the Trans is still under warranty. Including labor

Well hey their standing behind their stuff without giving me a hassle. The truck has been through two owners and their still sending me a new Trans and converter. And it has the correct valve body too I made sure of that. Its better than what I have and its free

Yes, but only the shipper knows the size of the package, they're going to use and the weight of it, plus how they're going to ship it. I try to ship as much as I can through the post office, since there is no UPS store near me and the terminal is about a half hour away, Fedex is about an hour from me, so unless there is a big differance in the price, the post office gets it
