Need some more opinions

Last night driving home from work my Ty started acting funny. It still drives fine, but the exhaust all the sudden dropped in tone, and it seems like there is more "pull" on the motor, it slows down faster now when i let off the gas. I checked the cap and rotor, no probelms. Going to check the plugs today, possibly do a compression check. If everything checks out fine, i might have to tear into the trans again. Its not regeristing any knock even with boost. Funny thing was this happened in traffic with no boost at all. Anything else i should check?
