Need some help. I'm a d!ck...

Its official, I'm a f*ck up.

I finally found someone to possibly take care and treasure the Ty as much as I do.

But because I don't know how to leave well enough alone, I wanted to jack up the truck, put it on stands and wipe down the underside (even though it was already clean)
Naturally as my luck would have it, the truck slipped off the jack and managed to crack a 12" piece of the rocker cladding.

I need help

Does anyone know if someone has a NOS piece of driver side rocker cladding ???
Worse case a clean, mint used one. I'd prefer new though.

I've spent 9 years of never using it because I was afraid to ruin it and a week before a prospective buyer comes this happens...

Thanks in advance

Sportmachines guys are out of town for the week, I would try Ray (yar) on the forum or try Scott (sy113) and see if either of them can help you.

Fuel pressure seems low. Bet it drops to zero quickly after key off. Most likely fuel pump

Not without a fight...

Needless to say I've gotten 2-3 offers on the truck. One potential serious buyer flew up to inspect it. Naturally it had to snow that day but aside from that, I decided to top off the already 1/2 tank of gas. Almost immediately pulling out of the station it started to studder. I didn't think anything and cruised it back to storage and parked it for the night. Next day buyer comes to inspect and you guessed it...the truck was fighting to start and could not even make a test drive. Almost as if the truck knew it was going to be sold.

Symptoms include the usual: hesitation at initial throttle tip in. Slight rough idle. Put in gear and it will die as soon as you hit gas. Revs up in park/neutral.

To give you guys a background, the truck sits in a garage on a tender. Once, maybe twice a month, I start it up (usually 2nd or 3rd crank) wipe it down, drive around the corner and park it. Never an issue whatsoever.

The only thing done differently this time was I mixed 1/2 new gas with 1/2 old gas.
Based on the usual checks so far I'm thinking fuel pump or AFPR, MAP sensor possibly.
I pulled the vac line and checked fuel press, with key on pressure goes to 28-30lbs and drops like a rock when the pump turns off.
Very hard to start after sitting as well.
I took a pressure reading at idle and its sittin at or near 30lbs with or without throttle.

I plan on draining the gas just to be sure and getting a new pump, maybe the hose split as well
I didn't rule out the AFPR though as I did not smell the vac line...

Any thoughts?

The pressure should stay solid for several minutes after the fuel lines are pressurized.
Probably the fuel pump.
